Wooden Leg Studio is the home of all things designed and made by Melanie Hamilton. Each piece is created in house using solid wood and other natural materials such as danish cord, leather and wool felt. Wooden Leg Studio strives to make work that is respectful of the material, the natural environment and human living space.

Melanie Hamilton studied furniture making at the Centre for Furniture Craftsmanship in Maine and furniture design at Sheridan College in Ontario. She holds a fine arts degree from Mount Allison University in New Brunswick where she was a faculty member once upon a time. Her work has received numerous grants and awards and has been exhibited extensively. Both her wood-based pieces and large-format photography can be found in private and public collections in Canada and abroad.
